Program - PADI Divemaster Program
OUR COURSES - MASTER SCUBA DIVER PROGRAM
The Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest non-professional rating in the PADI System. It defines a diver who has acquired dive experience and knowledge by participating in a variety of PADI courses.
The goal of the Master Scuba Diver program is to produce divers who:
a. Know how to prevent, recognize and treat most diving related problems and injuries, plus can perform role-model in water diver rescues.
b. Understand decompression theory as well as prevention and treatment of decompression illness.
c. Have good navigation skills and excellent buoyancy control.
d. Respect the aquatic environment.
e. Are familiar with different types of dive equipment and are proficient at using a variety of specialized dive equipment.
To earn the Master Scuba Diver rating divers must:
a. Have a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification
(or have a qualifying certification from another
training organization).
b. Have a PADI Rescue Diver (or have a qualifying
certification from another training organization).
c. Have any five PADI Specialty Diver ratings.
d. Show proof of 50 logged dives.
Master Scuba Divers have within the dive community recognition and respect for their achievement. Earning this rating is not easy – it takes time, effort and dedication. When you reach this level you will join an elite group of divers. Master Scuba Diver is a logical step toward becoming a dive professional. The experience gained through specialty training is valuable for PADI Divemasters, Assistant Instructors and Instructors.
